The RAF Open day started in 2000, at the Waltham Windmill, North East Lincolnshire, and in 2005 will be entering its 6th year at the same location. The main reason behind this day is to show the people of North Lincolnshire a visible representation of the Royal Air Force, past & present through an air display and ground stalls, and various guest appearances from Men & Women who have served a span of over 65 years of the RAFs 86 year history. The day has a charge to enter which helps cover costs, and to make a well needed contribution to the Waltham Windmill Rural Life Museum, which houses the RAF Grimsby Exhibition, and to make a donation to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby.
We
have raised in the last 5 years the fantastic sum of approximately £4000
