Our Local Nicknames for the Puppies are: -

Little Miss Smarty pants (Female)

Fat Girl (Female)

Saddle Bags (Male)

Fat Boy (Male)

Little Miss Smarty Pants (Female) was the first to walk, leave the whelping box, and to start to become independent.

Fat Girl (Female) had a large appetite and sucked her mother at every opportunity.

Saddle Bags (Male) had his umbilical cord chewed too short so wore a bandage for the first two weeks of his life.

Fat Boy (Male) was a glutton at food time and out did Fat Girl to shame when it came to eating.

It is very difficult to photograph pups under any circumstances. They move around like the waves in the ocean or at least like an avalanche of snowballs. I hope that these few pictures will allow you to conceptualize the quality of the litters that these two people can produce. We have been amazed at the development of the pups and their response to Hand Rearing. They were partially house trained at four (4) weeks and were obeying simple commands at five (5) weeks.

"Puppies Come" was a very popular command because this usually meant solid food. Picking up the puppies to bring them inside was usually met with wriggling and growling because they just wanted to play. Investigation of the garden was very high on the day's activities especially when Toby took them to visit the Compost Heap.

They were all very keen on eating especially if chicken was on tonight's menu. Attacking the saucer of food was a great game and enjoyed by all.

Authors Comment...

The current owners of the first litter have all been back in touch with us telling us about how their new puppies are behaving. All seem to be very happy with the pups and we are very happy that they all have good homes.
