 M.Johnson and wife Shirley have returned to the Sub Mariners reunion by invitation on several occasions.

A19014 F/L Max Johnson and crew posted to 467 Sq 23.6.44, completed a tour of 32 ops, Max Johnson posted 1654 Cu 17.1.45.

Foot Note, R5868 S-Sugar Underwent major repairs from 31 .7.44. to 3.12.44. NF91O was coded PO.S. 31 3.12.44. then was recoded PO.Q. It was later returned to M.U. for repairs and fitted with 4 bladed props, it was struck off strength Aug 1950.

On the 18.19/7/44 Max Johnson taking evasive action of night fighters, over the English Channel returning from Revigney popped 128 rivets in the starboard wing putting R5868 S-Sugar out of action until 8th of December 1944 refer pages 12 and 13 Hendon museum book on sugar. A Very Special Lancaster.
