Sgt Harrison.G.C. and crew posted to 467 Sq 2.4.43. They completed a tour of 30 ops not one of which could be regarded as easy.

21/22.6.43 on the op to Krefeld they had a long combat with a fighter and were damaged.

25/26.7.43 on the op to Essen the A/C was badly damaged by heavy flak, the two engines on the starboard were put out of action the starboard tyre flat, Sgt Harrison made a perfect semi crash landing back at Bottesford.

F/O Ingram who was RCAF was awarded his DFC for the effort to safely navigate the stricken aircraft back from the raid on Essen. The complete crew finished their tour of 30 operations. There is no trace in ORBs of Sgt Harrison being awarded a DFM for his excellent tour. Sgt Harrison posted to 1660 CU 14.10.43.

Authors Note: - Ed Ingram, son of F/O K.M. Ingram DFC has been in touch with this site and supplied copies of his dads wartime log books. They can be viewed in the Pictures and Scans section under Navigators.
