In September 44 F/L Forge’s A/C was attacked by fighters, good crew work beat off the attack. Spirited gunnery set the fighter on fire. They were able to carry on and complete the bombing attack.

9.4.45 in the attack on Hamburg the A/C was damaged by flak and the R/T and intercom put out of action, the crew completed the attack,
