F/O Alec Findlay and crew posted to 467 Sq 14.9.44. On their 3rd op, 2nd solo to Rheydt, there is no clear picture in Orbs just A/C missing. The later information gives the A/C as crashing near Vouzieurs. Alec Findlay and at least 3 crew returned to Waddington, 3 are listed POW and 1 KIA |

F/O Findlay was posted to 51 base 20.10.44, for recrewing. Reposted to 467 Sq 20.11.44 with 2nd crew 26/27.11.44. On the op to Munich, the navigator was airsick and after leaving the target was constantly vomiting and with his oxygen mask off passed out for lack of oxygen. They were lost in 10/10ths cloud and ran out of petrol and crash landed at Brieulles France, in occupied territory. They were flown back to the UK in a Dakota by Lt Ranson USAF 1.12.44. |

19/20.2.45. In the op to Bohlen, the navigation equipment failed. They returned and reached Friston and whilst attempting to land in poor visibility wrecked the A/C but the crew were OK. |
