18.8.44 F/0 Carey and crew in DV277 PO.W were hit by heavy flak and badly
damaged, the A/c was repaired by A.V.Roe and transfered to No 5 LFS. It
survived the war and was scrapped in 1946. NN714 then became PO.W.
Sydney Charles Carey Gazeted DFC 23.3.45, and his crew have always been
helpful to Nobby in researching this Sq. Charles Carey was posted to No
17 OTU 14.12.44
