On the op to Ems Wesser Canal 6/7.11.44. The report states that the crew did not bomb they were ordered to return to base by the controller. The A/C had suffered some flak damage and they were diverted to the crash airdrome in Seething. The A/C under shot the runway and was a write off. No crew were injured. The A/C Crash landed with 14700 lbs of High Explosives onboard. |
