P/O Nancarrow was posted to 467 on 28.7.43 at Bottesford, on his first cross country training flight he crashed. The crew parachuted to safety and Nancarro was injured. The 6 members of the crew were posted to 619 3q on 25.10.43. Nancarrow was listed posted to 619 Sq on 22.10.43. |

When he was posted back to 467 Sq is not listed in ORBs. He was posted from 46 Sq to 463 Sq 1.12.43, The only op listed is as above which was aborted although the crew listed above were all experienced, not his original crew. ORBs do record that the A/C returned with one engine feathered. |
