F/O Col James DFC and crew had a fairly straight tour of 35 ops Orbs only record them as having trouble twice. |

15/16.3.44. In the op to Stuttgart one engine failed an hour before reaching the target but they carried on and successfully bombed the aiming point. |
|||
|
24/25.4.44. In the op to Munich they had real trouble, icing was so bad that all four air intakes iced up until the motors almost stopped and the A/C was losing height at an alarming rate. They had to jettison the load and only regained control at 500 ft. |
