A/C abandoned. |
|
F/O Hagley and crew had a long combat with a fighter who was damaged and broke of combat. Their own A/C was so badly damaged that they tried to reach Jouvencourt the nearest allied airdrome but were forced to abandon the A/C 4 miles short of the airdrome. All the crew managed to parachute to safety. They were flown back to Waddington on 19.4.45. There is a report filled in Orbs by the crew. |
