W/C Bill Forbes was C/O of 463 Sq 25.6.44 till KIA 22.2.45. He completed his first tour of ops on 467 Sq. Returning for his second tour with 463 Sq, he led a number of 5 group attacks in support of the invasion. The attack on Gravenhorst 21/22.2.45 was to be the last of his second tour and it is interesting to note that F/L Loftus of the photo unit was in PB8O4 and was one of the survivors. |
