F/O Farrow.G.H. flew 26 ops to 8.5.45.

21/22.2.45 Graham Farrow and crew flew NG329 JO.Z to Gravenhorst, Mittellandkanal. On the return journey they were shot down. The crew managed to bail out and all survived and evaded capture but Stan Bridgeman was wounded. The A/C crashed near Venraij Holland and it was later established that they were shot down by Major Heinz Wolfgang Schnaufer and crew from Gutersloh. After the war Stan Bridgeman made contact with Fritz Rumpelhardt, Schnaufer’s radar operator and confirmed the details.

Farrow and crew (minus Stan Bridgeman who was hospitalised) returned to ops and completed 8 more ops by 8.5.45.

14/15.3.45 in ME395 JO.S they were hit by heavy flak and the A/C was badly damaged they only just managed to reach base.

Major Schnaufer was the No1 German night fighter ace and he shot down (12) 4 engine bombers, 9 in the 24 hrs he shot Farrow down.
