Anzac day Parade Brisbane 2002 led by Max Johnson. Pic 1 is the banner being paraded by The Banner Party. The banner was handed over to Australian Air Force Cadets Squadron 212 Redcliffe for safe keeping. The Banner Party is led by Flight Commander CCPL T. Stellard ( Pic. 1), Banner Warrant Officer (Pic 3) CCPL. P. Strub ( Grand son of Max Johnson and also an editor of this web site), and the Banner Bearers CCPL. B.Smith & LCDT.D. Beetson. As you can see the young lads take their task very seriously. Attending the march were Bruce Buckam DSO. DFC, Brian McGill and grandchildren, Matt O'Leary and grandson, Bill Wingrave, Clive Price, Rob Allen, David Best for his grandfather F.A. Lester, Sid Layton's grandson, and Ron Evans for his father Ted Evans. Pic 4 in the jeep are A. Saunders DFC in the back and  G. Colbeck in the front.

These are some pictures of the Brisbane 2003 ANZAC Day parade led by Max Johnson. The spectator turn up was tremendous, one of the biggest that Brisbane has seen. I remark on the number of third and fourth generation age group in the spectator group. It seems that the younger generation has an interest in what the men of WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and other conflicts gave for this country.
